Switch Illumination Kits Hard to find the switches at night. Remedy a kit partially light the four or five swicthes. Fits all minis with four or five illuminated swicthes including 1997 on minis. Key features: The switches will be partially illuminated when the sidelights are activated. When a switch is pressed the switch light will turn to full brightness. Fitting instructions 1. Disconnect Battery before for starting installation. 2. Remove the two screws from the heater control panel and lower heater to gain access to the back of the switch panel. 3. Gently push the switches from behind to gain access to the switch connections. 4. Rest the control unit on top of the heater to enable the wires to be fed through the relevant holes for each switch. 5. Remove the Black/White wire from the Brake Test switch and connect this to the black and white wire from the control unit. Connect the other Black/White wire from the control unit to the switch. Similarly remove a Black wire from one of the other switches and connect this to the Black wire from control unit. Connect the other black wire from the control unit to the switch. 6. Remove the Green/Yellow wire from the Rear Screen Heater switch and connect this to the Green/Yellow wire from the control unit. Connect the other Green/Yellow wire from the control unit. 7. Remove the Blue/Yellow wire from the Rear Fog Light switch and connect this to the Black/Yellow wire from the control unit. Connect the other Black/Yellow wire from the control unit to the switch. 8. Remove the Green/Light-Green wire from the Hazard Warning Switch and connect this to the Green wire from the control unit. Connect the other Green wire from the control unit to the switch. 9. Using a Blue splice connector, connect the Red wire from the control unit to the Red wire on the Main Light switch. 10. Using a Blue splice connector, connect the White wire from the control unit to the White wire on the 5 way connector for the Ignition switch located at the bottom of the steering column. 11. Using a Red splice connector, connect the Purple wire from the control unit to the Purple/White wire for the Door switch located under the dash adjacent to either the left or right door pillar. 12. Carefully refit the switches into the switch panel. Reconnect the battery and test switches and bulbs. Refit the Heater 13. The Lights-on Warning alarm will sound if the door is opened when
the lights are on and the ignition is switched off.
