Dial Illumination Kits

Change the colour of the dial lights.

Fits all minis with two or three clocks and minis with 1 or 3 extra clocks.

Fitting instructions

Depending on kit supplied 2 or 3 (rev counter models) clocks will be illuminated and if fitted 1 or 3 extra clocks (Clock or Clock, Voltmeter, Oil temperature). This kit will replace 2w capless bulbs fitted to Standard equipment minis.

Disconnect battery before starting installation
Non Dashboard models.
1. Remove surround from clocks. Disconnect speedo cable, & electrical connector(s). 2. Remove clocks.

Dashboard models
1.Remove fresh air vents from dash, remove radio, remove three nuts securing dash, one accessed through radio aperture, one accessed from under the dash rail near each fresh air vent. Through the radio aperture disconnect speedo cable.
2. Tilt dashboard to gain access.
3. Disconnect electrical connectors for clocks, rev counter, and alarm warning light, headlamp levelling, and 1 or 3 extra clock connector.

Changing bulbs
Locate 2 or 3 bulb holders depending on model (3 clocks on Rev counter models). Remove bulb holder and remove bulb. Insert LED bulb. Similarly locate bulb holders on extra clocks if fitted, remove bulb holders and bulbs, then replace with LED bulbs.

Temporally replace clocks or dashboard; connect the clock electrical connector(s) and extra clock(s) connector(s) if fitted. Reconnect battery. Switch sidelights on. Check illumination of clocks note any failing to illuminate. Disconnect battery.

Failure to illuminate
Disconnect battery and clock connectors. For 2 or 3 clock models remove bulb holder and turn through 180 degrees and refit bulb holder, LED bulbs are polarity sensitive. For extra clock remove bulb holders, remove LED bulb and rotate 180 degrees. Reinsert LED bulb and replace bulb holder.

Non Dashboard models.
Replace clocks reconnecting speedo cable and electrical connector(s).
Dashboard models.
Reconnect electrical connectors, reconnect speedo cable.
Refit ock connectors. For 2 or 3 clock models remove bulb holder and turn through 180 degrees and refit bulb holder, LED bulbs are polarity sensitive. For extra clock remove bulb holders, remove LED bulb and rotate 180 degrees. Reinsert LED bulb and replace bulb holder.

Reconnect battery.
